Our friend Stacy Rooney ran into Michael Gross at Planet
Hollywood in Chicago in March 1996. She attempted to
communicate with Mr. Gross, but he was not in the mood to
talk to any fans. He said he didn't have time to sign 1000
autographs. In an act of desperation to talk to the 80's dad
we all grew to love, she came up with a clever plan to try
and trick him into giving her some attention. When he
refused her request of an autograph, she said "But you're my
dad!" The sharp witted Gross replied "I don't remember
that." (crowd laughter) Later Rooney admitted she meant to
say "You're like my dad." It's interesting to note that friends
that were with her thought she said "You're my god."
